School Wide Behavior Plan

Prairie Trail now has a school wide behavior plan that follows the class as they move through their daily routine.

Code of Conduct: Each classroom has created a Code of Conduct. The students worked with their classroom teacher to create a list of acceptable behaviors and unacceptable behaviors within their classroom. The student's involvement in the creation of the Code of Conduct gives them control over the general behavior expectations, and allows them to take ownership of their classroom norms.

Vikings: If student breaks the Code of Conduct, they lose a "Viking". Each Viking lost has a consequences associated with it. The Vikings reset daily!
First Viking: Warning
Second Viking: Fix-it Plan with teacher
Third Viking: Share plan to change the behavior with parents

Stars: When students go above and beyond to show exceptional behavior, they may be awarded a star. Exceptional behavior means going above and beyond expectations, and looks different for everyone. When students earn three stars in a single day, they get an opportunity to communicate with their family about their outstanding day!
